Baffinland is currently looking for a seasoned Quality Manager to prepare project quality plans implement in-process controls, audit program, PEP and workflow oversight.

Main Accountabilities

  • Implement quality standards, ensure and execute compliance on every stage of the process.
  • Develop and implements quality assurance strategies and regulations. Assess potential risks, ensures compliance and gives recommendations.
  • Takes responsibility for all quality control aspects of the process (laboratories studies, clinical research, testing, operations, raw materials, production, finished product or services).
  • Facilitates audits and regulatory inspections. Liaises with external vendors, contractors or suppliers to ensure that their products or services meet the organization's quality standards.
  • Coordinates quality trainings.
  • Lead organizational effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Complete assigned projects and tasks within agreed deadline
  • Responsible for the management of multiple concurrent projects throughout the project life cycle

Shareholders

  • Undertake industry best practice benchmarking, research coordination, and networking to ensure the Expansion Project is continuously improving towards leading industry standards
  • Understand critical risks for all activities and implement control strategies

Main Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and work experience focused on 5 - 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including supervision.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard and familiarity with various industry codes, standards and regulations governing quality management
  • Experience in development of Quality System Procedures, Inspection and Test Plans etc
  • Knowledge of inspection and NDT methods, procedures and reports
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access)
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills as well as the ability to work in a demanding multidisciplinary environment.
