Main Accountabilities

  • Strategically plan and manage offsite logistics, warehousing, transportation and receiving
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate order delivery from vendor premises to off-site consolidation hubs to Site
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers for packaging, shipping and ransportation requirements and address queries
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Arrange offsite warehouse, organize catalog goods, assist with all OSND training
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Su pervise, coach and train offsite warehouse workforce
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance of vendors and implement improvements
  • Comply with laws, regulations under the relevant transportation acts
  • Recruit and coordinate offsite logistics staff (Company and contractor) according to availabilities and requirements
  • Supervise stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs of our stakeholders
  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve on time deliveries while expediting orders
  • Keep applicable logs and records of warehouse stock, cross dock stock & sealift executed orders etc for easy identification and POD's
  • Prepare accurate reports for management as required
  • Works closely with sea and air carriers to ensure alignment in requirements, the provision of detailed schedules or material and equipment transportation and staging facilities both on site and at the point of
  • Ensure all required documentation for in-bound and out-bound materials, products and equipment is completed or sea lift and air
  • Promptly leads the investigation of all occurrences where logistics related incidents occur and leads the actions to
  • prevent recurrence.
  • Validates and monitors carefully the long lead items specifically related to Sea Lift orders.
  • Vigilantly monitors the sea lift schedule to ensure all materials are delivered at port to meet the
  • Effective management of all goods coming to Mirabel/ Valleyfield with timely receipt of
  • Effective management of transportation of goods between Mirabel and Valleyfield or vice
  • Ensure incoming goods are verified against Manifest's and Bills of Lading
  • Ensure discrepancies are noted and a follow-up with the supplier is initiated .
  • To act as main focal point for all air and sea freight related shipping consolidation and
  • Development of systems and processes related to above part of supply chain with view of make easier ownstream
  • Any other professional duties as assigned by Management

Main Qualifications

  • 10 years Senior and intense experience in physical logistics and transportation management elevant hands on training
  • Professional certifications would be an asset
  • Highly skilled in interpersonal relations
