    This role will be responsible for effective and efficient sourcing, management and tracking of contracting and supply chain needs to sustain Capex Packages and help achievement of objectives of these investments. This role will be responsible for PSC inputs in the Capex.

    Further, the role has responsibility as key interface for all services and processes related to PSC and as in-charge for all IIBA obligations and interfaces for PSC.

    Main Accountabilities

    • Support compliance of Company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies through the procurement process and help in improvement of the HSE policies related to Procurement & Supply Chain
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements in all procurement activities
    • Manage application of Company's purchasing strategies, develop/review Capex Procurement procedures in close coordination with the Operations and Finance teams
    • Benchmarking and deployment of supply chain best practices to achieve the lowest TCO for the packages
    • Development and application of standard documentation for Capex related procurement
    • Coordinate legal review of Purchasing terms and conditions in high value/unique scenarios, be the point of contact and coordination for such reviews
    • Formation and/or Review of bidders lists, recommend to CPO and End User departments
    • Lead strategy, controls and implementation of purchasing of engineered equipment, services and supplies to support Operations/Other functions
    • Development of appropriate negotiations strategies and lead independently/assist CPO/COO in negotiations
    • Ensure expediting of vendor deliverables including final products, vendor data and drawing, technical services
    • Ensure compliance with document control activities to ensure effective document management for working and audit purposes
    • Review and periodic audit of Vendor quality program of key suppliers, special orders etc.
    • Review and implementation of Performance test program for major equipment
    • Set up system for vendor pre-qualification, enlistment, performance reviews and contract close outs
    • Provide periodic functional updates to Management, Contribute to studies, AFE Be the focal point for CPO as sign off to AFE's ahead
    • Build an understanding of suppliers' facilities and production processes with goal of identifying supply chain opportunities
    • Interface with the concerned re insurance related requirements especially from purchase, transport and logistics perspectives
    • Lead long term common supply/service arrangements (for Capex/Project needs) such as marine transport, equipment rentals, air transport
    • Lead/assist in system development and MIS software implementation
    • Ensure compliance with the IIBA requirements for the Sustaining Capex side of Procurement
    • Contract claim management and lead dispute resolution arising from contracts
    • Ensure proper recording of contracts, all change orders and service receipts in Purchasing system ( like SAP)
    • Other duties and areas to be added from time to time as per department needs and workload.

    Main Qualifications

    • Degree in Legal/ Engineering/ Commerce/ Purchasing/ Supply Chain management preferred. Professional certifications in Supply Chain desired
    • At least 10 years of experience in large scale industrial purchase and logistics of goods and equipment and contract formation and management
    • EPCM/mining/construction industry experience preferred
    • Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP knowledge would be considered as an asset
    • Formal Training preferred in procurement & contract management
    • Experience leading teams is considered a plus
    • Being able to train others
