    Housing Maintainer 


    Currently Baffinland is looking for a number of Housing Maintainer. Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, the Housing Maintainer will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance. Should be an expert in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Maintenance.


    This is a permanent position based at site with a 2-week Fly-In, Fly-Out rotation

    Main Accountabilities


    • To perform installation, repairs & maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems on camp facility equipment and sea-can reefers.
    • Maintenance work involves checking all parts of a system, lubricating moving parts and monitoring the refrigerant charge.
    • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning systems and components.
    • Install and calibrate related controls (including wiring).
    • Start up systems, test lines to detect leaks, and record the readings taken to ensure that the system is functioning satisfactorily.
    • Monitors assigned facility by conducting facility walkthroughs, mechanical and electrical equipment and system monitoring and inspection
    • Assists in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program. Ensures that deficiencies are identified, recorded and escalated, and that related documentations are maintained.
    • Maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required.
    • Participates in and assists with facility-related projects and other building maintenance activities as required
    • Performs work in accordance to established processes and practices

    Main Qualifications


    • Minimum 5-year experience in the operation and maintenance of buildings
    • Able to create alternative solutions to problems
    • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
