    Currently Baffinland Iron Mines is seeking a Product Quality Geologist to join their team on the Mary River Project. We are seeking a dynamic individual who will work with a team of engineers and geologists to support mining operations.

     

    This position is located at site with a 2 week Fly-In, Fly-Out rotation.

    Main Accountabilities

    • Monitor and report on product quality at various sampling point from mine to ship.
    • Conduct data analysis and develop geological and quality
    • Perform in-field grade control activities at various locations throughout the supply
    • Conduct QAQC program throughout the supply
    • Conduct geological reconciliation from block model to
    • Ensure geological data and database
    • Develop and participate in various continuous improvement projects.

    Main Qualifications

    • Post Secondary Education as a geologist or equivalent experience relevant to product quality.
    • 5+ years experience in geology or similar
    • Proficiency with CAD software and the Microsoft Office Suite is
    • Experience with specialized geological database and/ or modelling software will be considered an
    • Previous experience with iron ore quality will be considered an
    • Professional Geoscientist designation will be considered an
    • Ability to work in extreme low temperatures down to minus 40
    • Comfortable driving and working in an environment with heavy equipment operating in proximity
