    Baffinland Iron Mines is seeking an Operations Administrator to join our Operations team on a permanent basis.The Operations Administrator position is an essential role to coordinate travel of all employees, contractors and visitors to our site in Nunavut. Based at our  Mine Site it will work closely with its cross shift to ensure all travel and room capacity is optimized to meet operational requirements.

     

    This will be a site based position  (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off )

    Main Accountabilities

    • Maintain all schedule up to date in HL (Human Logistics) system.
    • Data entry for all site based employees in regards to room allocations for Operations, contractors and visitors.
    • Allocation of seats on flights as well as manage all flight changes due to weather delays
    • Review and sending out the manifest for all flights
    • Update and maintain all schedules in the HL system
    • Handle any requests for room changes and transfer
    • Allocation of rooms based on the general priority practice
    • Will closely work with GM and Operations Coordinators for schedule adjustments
    • Complete and Distribute daily inter-camp movements and site headcount
    • Generate HL Reports as requested and required
    • Will report to Operations Coordinator
    • Other Duties as assigned by Operations Coordinators

    Main Qualifications

    • Administrative background in flight or logistics planning required
    • College diploma, or human logistics planning training desirable
    • 2+ years’ experience working in an office setting
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of a travel system would be preferred
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize several ongoing responsibilities
    • Customer-service oriented
    • Able to complete complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision
    • Team player and be able to work closely with the cross-shift to meet the responsibilities for the role
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite
