Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent the role will be responsible for key regulatory reporting for the Project. This role works closely with the technical specialists and operations management to ensure accurate and timely reports are submitted. The Environmental Regulatory Specialist will provide expertise and support to Operations and Projects by leading the implementation of the Environmental Management System. The specialist will be up to date with current licences and regulations that may effect reporting, and engage in training opportunities with junior staff and operations workers.
Compensation for this position is aligned with Baffinland’s approved compensation framework and current market conditions. Final compensation will be determined based on:
• Relevant education and certifications
• Related training and experience
• Internal equity considerations
This Nunavut community-based role is eligible Northern Allowance, comprehensive health and dental coverage, and pension participation.
