Main Accountabilities

  • Assist the manager – mobile maintenance in leading the team within the mobile maintenance department in developing and achieving short and long range maintenance execution for mobile equipment;
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to maintenance procedures, policies and regulatory requirements that align with health and safety, environmental, cost, and maintenance targets to optimize the availability and reliability of all mobile equipment;
  • Assist in establishing and deploying 5-year strategic OPEX and CAPEX plans for the department aligned with the overall 5-year business plan;
  • Responsible for providing oversight to disciplined execution of the department’s annual operating plan
  • Facilitate respectful and cooperative interdepartmental communications as part of the Senior Management Team;
  • Foster and champion a culture of continuous improvement to drive improvement in maintenance excellence;
  • Collaborate with the manager – mobile maintenance and other key stakeholder for the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets for mobile maintenance department;
  • Demonstrate and ensure all employees adhere to the expectations and principles of the company’s values;
  • Ensure necessary training and development opportunities are provided to the mobile maintenance team;
  • Participate in contractor service agreement negotiation process and ensure the agreement supports maintenance objectives;
  • Drive the Work Order life cycle from Work Request to Work order completion. (Validation, Estimation, Work Packages, Scheduling, Execution, Completion, Data entries, closing).
  • Oversee H&S incident investigations to understand the root cause(s) as well as corrective actions to prevent recurrence;
  • Support reliability department in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to improve asset reliability

Main Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience of equipment maintenance planning/execution
  • 7+ years’ of progressive leadership experience (managerial with OPEX/CAPEX budgeting experience)
  • 10+ years of experience with surface heavy equipment maintenance
  • Professional engineer designation (P.Eng)
  • Certification or advanced training in maintenance planning (CMRP)
  • Advanced experience with computerized maintenance systems, SAP experience
  • Engineering (Mechanical/electrical) Required
