Reporting to the mobile maintenance manager, mobile maintenance superintendent is accountable for ensuring sound maintenance execution across all mobile fleet within budget. The mobile maintenance superintendent assists the mobile maintenance manager in development and implementation of the overall short and long-term mobile maintenance strategy.
• Lead the overall effort to meet department’s overall heath and safety as well as environmental objectives.
• Implement maintenance execution strategy to meet or exceed key maintenance performance indicators.
• Develop department employees on maintenance excellence and lead implementation of best practices
• Investigate non‐conformances/non-compliances thoroughly and administer corrective actions to rectify issues and prevent recurrence.
• Assist the department manager in setting OPEX/CAPEX budgets for the department and ensure compliance.
• Implement long-term equipment major repairs and equipment replacement strategy.
• Oversee adequate maintenance resourcing to support maintenance backlog and requirements.
• Champion continuous improvement projects to deliver on cost and mechanical availability.
• Manage various contractor performance and cost to ensure compliance to budget.

• Post‐ Secondary education (Mechanical Engineering)
• P.Eng designation or eligible to register in Nunavut
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment (CAT preferred) maintenance management and/or equipment reliability department management
• Experience working in a remote Arctic operation with camp accommodations
• Digital Literacy skills: Knowledge of digital tools and technology. Proficient with standard office software such as Microsoft Office. Advanced knowledge of SAP maintenance systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbal, for conveying ideas, instructions, and information to colleagues, external parties, and superiors.
• Ability to influence the views and behaviour of others through persuasion and encouragement and manage conflict or other sensitive issues tactfully and effectively. Ability to adapt behaviour to a wide range of people.
• Ability to organise and direct workflow, operations, and employees to meet company goals. Ability to motivate others, provide guidance, and set team direction, while creating an environment that lets employees work efficiently and productively.
• Ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure that work is completed effectively and deadlines are met.
