The Operations Analyst plays a key role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company's operations. The role involves analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize operations. This role is based at our Oakville, Ontario office.

Main Accountabilities

• Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of opportunity within operational processes. Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance workflows.
• Prepare regular reports that summarize operational performance, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and other relevant metrics to stakeholders.
• Address operational challenges, suggest solutions, and ensure that improvements align with company goals.
• Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, finance, logistics) to ensure smooth operations and address any issues.
• Assist in preparing operational budgets and forecasts, ensuring they align with organizational goals and objectives.
• Look for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Document processes, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency across teams.
• Leverage various software tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) to analyze data and automate reporting.

Main Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline or similar (required)
• Registered, or have the ability to register, as a P.Eng in Ontario and Nunavut
• 5 years open pit mining experience.
• Proficient with SQL databases and industry-standard planning software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working in permafrost environments preferred.
• Ability to know what the business does and how it is done. Has awareness of its competitors, developments in the sector, and understands the importance of customer satisfaction and shareholder value.
• Ability to adapt to changes, learn new skills, and take on new challenges.
• Ability to work things out without having to be shown too often. Takes responsibility for own time and effectiveness. Alert to opportunities to contribute appropriately without being told. • Knowledge of digital tools and technology. Proficient with standard office software such as Microsoft Office.
