Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, the Mine Dewatering Operator is supporting Mine Operations with dewatering activities, including water treatment, pumping and various support activities. The role supports safe, compliant, and cost-effective project delivery while ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.

Main Accountabilities

• Ensure all tasks are completed in a safe, environmentally conscious manner and compliant with all company policies and procedures.
• Support the operation and management of dewatering equipment, including water treatment.
• Support freshet readiness and ensure that installation meets the plans and standards.
• Safely operate various equipment required to perform the work which includes, without limitations, pipe fusing, pump installation, pipe steaming.
• Conducts field inspections of site infrastructure to ensure compliance with design specifications and operational standards.
• Perform and support daily waste collection, segregation, storage, and disposal activities
• Operate and support water treatment (WTP) systems
• Operate mobile equipment including skid steers, and loaders (CAT 930 / 950 / 988) as required
• Lead or assist with toolbox talks, pre-task hazard assessments, and job planning discussions
• Work closely with the Environmental team during inspections, audits, and monitoring
• Assist with incident reporting, fact gathering, and corrective action implementation
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and operational data
• Enter notifications and basic work tracking into SAP
• Identify, communicate, and respond to operational risks and abnormal conditions
• Without limitations, support Mine Operations in other activities, i.e. culvert installation, snow removal, equipment steam cleaning, equipment operation, administrative tasks, etc.

Main Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Valid provincial driver`s license.
• HDPE fusing certification considered an asset.
• Wastewater Treatment Operator (Level 1 or Level 2) considered an asset.

• Spill response training considered an asset.

• 5 years of work experience working in Mine Dewatering.
• 3 years experience working in the arctic.
• Heavy equipment experience.
• Mechanical aptitude required with sound knowledge of a variety of diesel pump sets, pipe fitting, HDPE piping.
• Experience in water treatment is an asset.
• Energetic, self-motivated individual.

• Role is physically demanding
• Must be capable of working in adverse conditions and comfortable working outside in inclement weather
• Problem Solving/ Decision Making skills: Ability to define a problem; determine the cause of the problem; identify, prioritize, and reach logical conclusions, and decide on appropriate plan of action.
• Time Management/Organisation skills: Ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure that work is completed effectively and deadlines are met.
• Ability to work independently and also as a member of the Mine Operations team.
