• Manage the development of regulatory reporting requirements for site operations including quarterly and annual reporting requirements under the commercial lease and water license
• Liaise with Government and official bodies on project development, on-going construction and closure
• Attend regulatory and community meetings, as
• Develop, manage and ensure completion of the Annual Work Plan
• Work with operations and finance to develop annual security requirements
• Ensure that the Interim Closure Plan is up to date and meets regulatory requirements
• Support the refinement of the Environmental Management System for site operations
• Provide the training and education materials for Baffinland employees to ensure proper communication of regulatory requirements in day to day construction and operational activities.
• Foster positive business relationships and build appropriate contact between NGOs, communities and company
• Develop and present community consultation materials including presentations, posters, brochures,
• Participate in website content and branding initiatives for Sustainable
• Support Baffinland participation in technical conferences and industry

• Undergraduate degree in environmental science, engineering or related field (a graduate degree in sustainability, environmental science or engineering would be an asset).
• 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in the environmental engineering, sustainable development or environmental field.
• Previous experience in regulatory reporting, permit development and closure security
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, clients and consultants.
• Ability to communicate and interact with government officials (both verbally and in writing).
• Ability to effectively communicate with Inuit
