The activities include, but are not limited to, Work Ready Program (WRP) training and Employment and Training Information Sessions (ETIS). For all activities, the coordination task includes organizing the logistics for the event locally, registering interested participants, ensuring that the activity takes place efficiently, documenting the training being delivered, producing periodic reports, recording expenditures.   *The ideal candidate is resident and will be based in Sanirajak, Nunavut*

To oversee site activities and provide advice and assurance with respect to environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance through implementation of Baffinland’s Sustainable Development Policy, Environmental Standards and Management Plans.

We are looking for people ready to share, build, and grow with our company.   Reporting to the Manager, Community and Strategic Development, the Community Engagement Lead will lead the organization in tracking all community engagements within Nunavut for all Baffinland staff, with assistance from the Baffinland Community Liaison Officers (BCLO’s). Collaborating with various stakeholders, the Community Engagement Lead will oversee and maintain the use of a global engagement calendar, and will play a vital role in tracking and managing engagement with Inuit communities. The Community Engagement Lead will also work collaboratively with the Manager to ensure efficient implementation of various commitments under the Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreement (IIBA) and other departmental commitments as it relates to community engagement. This role is based in Iqaluit, Nunavut office.

We are looking for people ready to share, build, and grow with our company.   Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Civil Engineer based in Oakville or surrounding area is to confer with various company departments and other members of the central engineering team on a daily basis, conducting research to determine assigned project requirements. The Civil engineer will plan, review designs, design, develop, and manage various projects at Mary River, Milne Port, and Steensby Port for the construction of buildings, earth structures, powerhouses, roads, airports, railways, bridges, dams, water management systems, water distribution and sanitation that are safe and capable of withstanding the loading to which they are exposed. The Civil Engineer ensures assigned projects are estimated professionally, meet the requirements of the requesting department, adhere to the budget and schedule throughout construction, achieve quality parameters, and are performed in compliance with established health, safety, environmental, regulatory and internal corporate requirements.

Design and deliver assigned projects using the equipment and materials available onsite within approved budget, schedule and quality parameters, and in compliance with established health, safety, environmental, regulatory and internal corporate requirements. Knowledge of Arctic lifecycle management and Arctic engineering principles including use of FEA, CAD software and formal hand calculation is required
