Baffinland has created tailored programs for recent Inuit graduates and is currently recruiting candidates to join our team on a 12-month internship. Candidates who self-identify as Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement will be given priority. These roles can be at our Mary River Mine, in our communities, Iqaluit or Oakville offices. This role involves managing logistics to execute various environmental monitoring programs as required under Baffinland’s permits.

The Inuit Success Facilitator provides continual hands on support to Inuit Success initiatives within Baffinland. The Facilitator utilizes communication skills and tools to maintain a healthy contact with Inuit employees on site and in their home communities. The Facilitator increases ongoing communication with Inuit employees and is an advocate for Inuit culture and employee needs at the mine.

This is a site base role on a 3 week in and 3 week out rotation. Candidates who self-identify as Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement will be given priority.

In addition, the Inventory Specialist is responsible for reporting inventory stocking level, running Inventory cycle counts, obsolete examination & providing inventory usage trends, and Commodity lead-time for future forecasting and provisional settings. The Specialist works closely with the Procurement team and their queues, provides quick reviews and adjustments for the avoidance of wasted spend.
